Washington D.C. April 14, 2025: His Excellency Momodou Lamin Bah, the Ambassador of Republic of The Gambia to the United States of America and staff of the Embassy in Washington D.C. had a virtual engagement on Wednesday April 9 with Executive Members of the Gambian Diaspora Association in the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The virtual meeting provides the opportunity for the Gambian Diaspora Association to share with the Embassy an overview of the Gambian community’s involvement in the socio-economic activities of Brazil as well as highlighted some of the concerns they are facing in the context of immigration related matters among others.
The Ambassador and staff took turn to provide clarifications on some of the concerns raised an also urged them to be worthy Ambassadors of The Gambia in Brazil. In concluding his remarks, the Ambassador assured them of his unreserved commitment and willingness to engage them on matters of concern to them.
It is worth noting that the Embassy in Washington D.C. has jurisdiction over Brazil.
